Description:

In 1814, Britain dispatched 30,000 troops to Nepal. The British Army thought they could defeat 12,000 Nepalese Gurkha soldiers with their fine weapons. In fact, It took British Army two years of battle to finally win. This war is a lesson for British, and they are impressed by Gorkha soldiers. After peace, Britain signed a treaty with Nepal and enjoyed the privilege of recruiting Gurka soldiers, a tradition that continues to this day.

Gurkha trousers and Gurkha shorts were used by British soldiers employed in the 1940s and 1950s. Because of its special status, the appellation of these trousers has been retained.
